MOON RIVER was designed and built with the following specifications in mind;

More than 50' LOA with a long WL(46' +)-strong high quality wood epoxy composite construction by a very experienced builder (with approximately 20,000 hrs. skilled labor)- high quality equipment throughout-timeless classic marine exterior and interior aesthetics-low maintenance finishes in and out-semi displacement down east hull happy at cruise speeds from 7 to 18 knots-fuel efficient at all speeds-straight tracking and excellent tight quarter maneuverability-wide walk around decks-deep safe cockpit with good access on and off boat-360 degree visibility from helm galley and dinette-many redundant systems for safety and cruising-easy single or double handing.  After 7 years of summer cruising I am happy to report that Moon River has matched or exceeded all of its expectations.

Construction is Meranti, sapele wood and dynel all epoxied together. The builder has built over 400 boats over 30 years with this method which is time and use proven. There are no fasteners to loosen or deteriorate the boat is one piece.
